1. Claude Tag: A Shared Team AI Inside Slack

Claude Tag, launched in beta on June 23, 2026, officially replaces the old 'Claude in Slack' app today. It is a genuinely multiplayer AI — one @Claude shared by the entire team.

The previous Slack Claude was one-on-one: each person talked to their own instance. Claude Tag changes that. Each channel gets one Claude identity. Every team member interacts with the same Claude, sharing the same accumulated context. The project background your colleague shared yesterday is available to you today without repeating it.

In a sprint channel, if an issue has sat without a reply for two days, Claude surfaces a nudge: "This item hasn't been resolved — looks like it needs attention." A Note on Governance

Ambient mode currently has no built-in human-approval step. Claude acts before anyone reviews the action. On Enterprise plans, admins can scope which tools Claude can access per channel and limit what it can do. The key design question is: which channels warrant ambient mode, and which shouldn't have it at all.

3. Notion Meeting Note Trigger: Agents Work When the Meeting Ends

On July 31, 2026, Notion added "AI Meeting Note Summarized" as a trigger event for custom agents. The moment a meeting ends becomes the starting point of automation.

Previously, custom agents responded to manual runs or database changes. Now, as soon as an AI Meeting Note summary is complete, a configured agent fires automatically.

Client meeting → shared summary doc: Auto-generate an external-ready summary and send it to Slack
Sprint meeting → auto-create tickets: A Linear or Jira-connected agent converts decisions into tasks immediately

Setup is straightforward: open your custom agent's settings, add "Meeting note summarized" as a trigger, and choose which meeting types should activate it.

4. Notion Workers on Credits: The Cost Structure of Automation Changes

Starting August 11, 2026, Notion Workers will run on Notion credits. As automation becomes more powerful, tracking its cost becomes just as important.

Notion Workers is the code runtime that powers custom agents. During beta it was free, but after August 11 it consumes AI credits. Usage is tracked alongside other AI spend in the credits dashboard.
